
Alina Bar
Alina is the Head of the Paralegal Department at Shalev Jencmen & Co. She leads the firm’s patent paralegal operations and plays a key role in delivering efficient, high-quality, and strategically aligned patent services. Alina oversees departmental workflows, develops standardized procedures and best practices, manages budgets and resources, and leads recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of paralegal staff.
Working closely with partners, attorneys, clients, and foreign associates, Alina ensures smooth collaboration and communication throughout all stages of patent prosecution. She focuses on optimizing operational processes, supporting complex patent matters, and ensuring patent portfolios are handled accurately and in full regulatory compliance. Her leadership combines a strong operational perspective with a deep understanding of substantive patent practice.
Alongside her managerial role, Alina is a registered Patent Attorney with extensive experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and strategic counseling across diverse technologies, including cybersecurity, machine learning and data mining, 3D printing, structured light emitters, critical infrastructure security, medical devices, smart materials, telecommunications, and automated industrial processes.
She previously held senior operational roles in leading IP firms, including Head of Filing and Formalities, where she managed large-scale international prosecution workflows, supervised patent teams, supported overseas offices and advised clients. She began her IP career as a paralegal and patent intern, gaining comprehensive hands-on experience in global patent prosecution and IP portfolio management.
Alina holds a B.Sc. in Physics and Astronomy from Tel Aviv University and is a registered Israeli Patent Attorney.
